Kept me completely dry on the wet, miserable second day of our Kaghan trip. The storm flap actually works.
Great fit, breathes well on the climbs instead of turning into a sauna. Worth the price.
Good jacket but the zipper pull feels a bit flimsy. Works fine so far after two trips though.

-
Is it warm enough on its own for winter trekking?
It's a weatherproof shell, not an insulated jacket — layer a fleece or down midlayer underneath for real cold, like on our winter Galliyat trips.
-
Is the hood helmet-compatible?
Yes, it's cut roomy enough to fit over a climbing or ski helmet and still cinch down snugly.
-
How true to size does it run?
True to size for a light midlayer underneath; size up if you plan to wear a thick fleece under it regularly.
